Associate's Degree ARRT Required or must be Registry Eligible MA Radiology Technologist Licensure Required 1 year of experience preferred

  • GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Under general supervision and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Mammography Supervisor and the Radiologist, performs all aspects of breast imaging including mammography, stereotactic core biopsies, needle localizations, related clerical and service duties.
    • Records all pertinent breast history from the patient and notes any discomfort or medical complaint which could be of importance to the Radiologist.
    • Operates Mammography Equipment and performs Mammography Exams; makes a psychological and physical assessment of each patient, making adjustments in the standard imaging procedures and techniques to accommodate patient size, age or condition using universal protocol and sterile techniques as necessary. Demonstrates breast self-examination if required.
    • Performs quality control tests as needed to conform to all mammography regulations.
    • Adheres to established departmental policies and procedures, and safety control.
    • Performs other related clerical and service duties. Accurately documents work in the HIS/RIS/PACS and PENRAD systems.
    • Cleans and maintains all accessory equipment (i. e., paddles, detectors, work area).
    • Remains abreast of developments in the field of Mammography and maintains all necessary continuing educational units for Mammography. Responsible for Quality Control designated by supervisor.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Prior experience in breast imaging preferred.
  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Registration in both Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a mammography technologist.
    • Level of knowledge equivalent to an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
