Sr. Laser Development Engineer

Description We are seeking a talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of Senior Laser Development Engineer at our Alltec Laser Technology facility in Southbridge, Massachusetts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing organization as a member of Videojet'sLaserR&D team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day to day team leadership, designing, validating, and implementing laser technology for laser markers. Responsibilities o Assist with day to day Team leadership activities in the R&D Team o Provide technical solutions for new product development and legacy product improvement. o Test, characterize, and analyze laser parameters. o Determine specifications for manufacturing processes. o Develop and implement test plans to validate design solutions. o Verify designs through the use of lab testing, analysis, and simulation tools. o Interact with manufacturing, procurement, tech support, and other engineering disciplines. o Daily Management reporting of current project status and technical report generation. Qualifications o A Bachelor's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.Master's degree preferred. o Understanding of laser physics and laser-material interactions. o 5-10 years engineering experience in product development in lasers or related photonics field. o Experience with CO2 gas lasers preferred. o Experience with ECO process. o Experience with optical/mechanical component testing for repeatability/accuracy. o UHV experience. o Experience with RF oscillators and amplifiers are a plus. o Extensive hands-on experience with laser/optical testing and handling procedures and test report generation. o Demonstrated ability to work multiple projects in a team-based environment o Experience with electromechanical assemblies (pumps, solenoid valves, fans) is a plus. o Leadership experience of a small cross functional manufacturing/R&D team is a plus. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
