Job Overview:


Superior Cake Products, Inc,?a Hostess Brands subsidiary, is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor in our South Bridge, MA bakery location.


The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible to supervisor and mentor sanitation personnel in the cleaning of the bakery.? They will plan and direct sanitation activities for a work shift.? The person selected must ensure completion of essential job functions to maintain the integrity of the food safety program and ensuring product quality. As part of this process, the Sanitation Supervisor will inspect, evaluate, and train sanitation personnel to ensure cleaning standards are met and prevent product contamination.?
One must be embrace and champion a working environment that is compliant of all SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice), Safety and other company policies and procedures which in turn will promote a healthy and safe work environment and produce quality bakery products.

The ideal candidate will have four or more years of experience in a sanitation in a food processing/bakery and manufacturing or similar environment.

Key Functions and Accountabilities: (not an all-inclusive list of job task but a baseline of duties)





  • Plan and direct the activities of sanitation personnel during a work shift


  • Ensure cleaning standards are maintained and prevent product contamination


  • Conduct inspections and initiate corrective action as needed


  • Pest control application as needed


  • Ensure reports are properly maintained


  • Evaluate job performance of sanitation personnel and take corrective action as needed


  • Ensure proper training of sanitation personnel to follow work rules and procedures


  • Assist in the daily evaluation of product quality to ensure compliance with established standards


  • Ensure a safe operation in compliance with the corporate accident prevention program


  • Comply with all collective bargaining agreements to foster positive employee relations


  • Cooperate with engineering and production departments in the required maintenance of equipment and facilities


  • Perform other duties relating to the efficient operation of the bakery as assigned



Required Qualifications:





  • ?High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent


  • Four or more years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment ?



Preferred Qualifications:





  • Associates or Bachelor? equivalent highly preferred but not required


  • One or more years of experience as a Group Leader in the Food Industry preferred



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:???





  • Understands and promotes GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices


  • Effective Communication skills in both written and oral communication methods


  • Successfully coaches, trains and follows-up with people to ensure sanitation goals are met


  • Successfully at mentoring staff and setting and achieving individual and team goals


  • Computer saavy with laptops and desk top computers


  • Familiarity with and ability to enhance further skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook



Working Conditions:





  • Manufacturing/Factory environment


  • Varying noise and heat levels.



SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:





  • ?Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.


  • Support SQF through the monitoring of incoming services.


  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
