Supported Housing Counselor - South County (Southbridge)

Overview
This DMH-funded program provides supported housing services to Southbridge area adults living with serious and persistent mental illness residing in their own apartments. Individuals are provided support based on their level of need. Services may range from assistance with grocery shopping to crisis intervention. This program offers Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Peer Support and Supported Employment as the treatment options.
The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU's, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides some tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
Responsibilities
Supported Housing Counselors are responsible for providing support services, transportation of individuals, medication administration, and service documentation as required. Supported Housing Counselors also provide crisis counseling to all individuals as needed and maintain an assigned caseload.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Human Service-related field strongly preferred. One year's experience working with adults living with serious and persistent mental illness required. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Eligible candidates must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and be MAP certified or certifiable. The Bridge provides MAP (Medication Administration) Training.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
