We have the highest certification for processes and sanitation awarded by The American Institute of Baking. Summary: To ensure that all of our employees are wroking in compliance of the SOP's, GMP's, Safety and any other Policies and Procedures we have in place promoting a healthy and safe work environment. The Production Supervisor will always operate in a manner which is safe, clean and well organized.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Experience with bakery equipment
Record and report the production numbers accurately throughout the shift and reconcile all shift paperwork at end of shift
Ensure all paperwork is properly completed on time and complies with SQF (food safety) requirements and all company guidelines.
Assist and/or set up the production floor prior to the start of their shift.
Ensure employees are following the GMP's from the moment they walk through the door (Example: inspect nails, jewerly, etc.)
Ensure we have the correct codes, dates and labels on our packing (tubs, over shippers and pallets)
Watch and inspect ingredients' temperatures to ensure SOP's compliance
Train and manage all employees to ensure that they have all the tools they need to perform their jobs the most efficient way.
Communication to appropriate teams with success and challenges.
Watch the production lines and make the necessary changes focusing on food safety, quality, efficiency, labor and waste.
Ensure we have minimal downtime due to mechanical and/or operational challenges
Must be able to lift up to and greater than 50lbs Manage efficiencies within company budget.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years Food Plant Supervision, Baking a plus.
Proficient English communication verbally and written, Spanish a plus.
Must be able to work with little supervision
Basic math skills
Excellent attention to detail, follow through, organization and communication skills.
Able to communicate well with managers and co-workers.
Knowledge of Excel, Word
Must be physically able to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladders/scaffolds, lift objects up to 50 lbs, and to work in cramped spaces.
Consent to background check and drug screen.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
