As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Travel Emergency Room team.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Dept. The Emergency Room Nurse is responsible for assessing, prioritizing, and delivering care to patients who present to the emergency department with urgent medical needs. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, the ER nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide timely interventions, stabilize patients, and facilitate their transition to appropriate levels of care.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine the severity of their conditions and prioritize care based on the urgency of medical needs.
Perform thorough assessments, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and conducting physical examinations to identify medical emergencies and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, including starting IV lines, administering fluids, medications, and performing emergency procedures.
Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, intervening promptly to address any changes or complications.
Work collaboratively with physicians, specialists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care, facilitate consultations, and ensure seamless transitions of care.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and communication in electronic medical records, adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required depending on the setting.
Previous experience in emergency nursing or critical care preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently in a high-stress environment.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
