Summary:_
The Staff Auditor is responsible for independently conducting samples audit counts in various locations throughout the United States. The auditor will:
Travel primarily by plane to various locations throughout the U.S;
Meet with internal parties, such as sales, marketing, and service personnel;
Conduct audit counts with assistance from personnel responsible for the inventory;
Act as eyes and ears of management in the field by asking pertinent questions, recording responses, and making recommendations for improvement;
Follow-up on audit results; and
Write audit reports that go to all levels of management, including executives.
The auditor will utilize advanced excel techniques and will need to become proficient in using SAP, particularly the MM, SD, and FICO modules. The auditor will be expected to become comfortable with ACL adhoc analysis and the use of ACL for pulling data from SAP.
As the staff auditor progresses, he or she may be provided with opportunities for participating in additional types of Internal Audits, such as internal control/process reviews, compliance audits, expense report audits, etc.
_Duties and
Responsibilities:_
Performs internal auditing activities for various departments, divisions, and locations.
Assists in establishing the audit program, suggesting changes when it makes sense.
Conducts physical inventory counts both in the warehouse and in the field.
Adjusts Company records as necessary
Recommends improvements in policies and procedures both within the Internal Audit Department and in areas under audit.
Prepares well-written audit reports.
Maintains confidentiality.
Manages travel expenses wisely. Makes travel arrangements ahead of time and considers options for savings.
Performs Monthly Account Verifications procedures, new hire procedures, exit audit tracking, sales associate profile updating, management reporting, and other projects as assigned.
Assists local management and the Accounting group with various research requests and special projects on an ad hoc basis.

_Requirements:_
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in accounting, business, or economics.
Up to three years of experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Sound analytical skills and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Accurate data entry skills, preferably with ten key.
Experience with SAP, Access, and/or ACL a plus.
Have valid driver's license.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
Able to travel by air or by car as required (up to 35%).
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Able to read tiny product and batch numbers.
Able to frequently stand or walk.
